DR. SUZAIMI BINTI JOHARI

Dr. Suzaimi Johari is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Nanotechnology and Catalysis Research Centre (NANOCAT), Universiti Malaya (UM), where she is currently working under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Mohd Rafie Johan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nader Ghaffari Khaligh. Her research focuses on developing organocatalytic materials with applications in both academia and industry, particularly in the field of green chemistry.  Dr. Suzaimi holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Organic Chemistry) from Universiti Malaya (UM), where she conducted research into advanced organocatalysis, developing materials that can facilitate organic reactions with high selectivity and minimal waste. She also holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) from the Korea National University of Science and Technology (UST), and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (BSc. Chem.) from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Her work aims to create more efficient, environmentally friendly catalytic systems that can help reduce waste and energy consumption in chemical processes, contributing to more sustainable industrial practices.

DR. HEMAVATHI A/P SHANMUGAM

I have over ten years of experience in psychiatry under Malaysia’s Ministry of Health; having served in tertiary hospitals across both Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo Island gave me the opportunity to manage clients from diverse sociocultural backgrounds.At the University of Malaya, my work focuses on advancing treatment strategies for mood disorders, with a particular focus on neurostimulation techniques. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, we have successfully integrated transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) into clinical practice, resulting in measurable improvements in patient outcomes.My active involvement with the Clinical TMS Society and the Asian Special Interest Council (CTMSS) has expanded my professional network and deepened my commitment to the field of brain stimulation. Additionally, I have completed a formal TMS certification course in the United States to further strengthen both my clinical expertise and academic contributions to this rapidly evolving discipline.

DR. TEOH HOOI SEE

Dr. Teoh Hooi See currently Senior lecturer at the Department of Chinese Studies, University of Malaya, having joined the University in 2011. Prior to this, she obtained her Bachelor and Master’s degrees from the University of Malaya and her PhD from the University of Peking, Beijing, China. She also was the recipient of the International Students Academic Award (first class) from the University of Peking in 2011. Dr. Teoh’s academic research focuses on classical Chinese drama, modern & contemporary Chinese literature and Mahua Literature. Her published research papers include “Private Assistant, Local Drama and Native Consciousness: The relationship between Yang Enshou's Assistant Career and His Concern in Drama” and “Traditional Women and Qing politics: the Image of Li Xiang Jun in Tao Huashan”. She has also published an anthology of poems entitled “Standing on the other side of forgotten” and a series of essays entitled “Xinshi Honghong”. She has won several literature awards, including Flower Trace (Hua Zhong) of the World Chinese Literature Award, Li He of the Chinese Prose Award, and Chao Qing Youth Literary Award. Currently, Dr. Teoh lectures on classical Chinese drama, modern Chinese literature, and Malaysian Chinese Literature.
