Professional Summary I am a dedicated Language Lecturer in the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, specializing in Filipino Language and Culture, as well as English proficiency in speaking and writing. With six years of prior experience in the Department of Southeast Asian Studies within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, I have cultivated an effective, positive, and adaptable teaching style, demonstrating a willingness to extend my efforts beyond conventional classroom settings. My background as an Administration Professional, where I managed business relations and special projects at the senior management level, has equipped me with exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong oral and written communication skills. These experiences have enabled me to efficiently handle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.Throughout my career, I have consistently exhibited high levels of motivation and a strong desire to excel. Dr. Noor Hayaty obtained her BDS (Malaya), MSc in Conservative Dentistry (London), and PhD in Dental Materials (Newcastle) in 1984, 1987, and 1995, respectively. With over 35 years of experience, her career spans clinical practice, academic leadership, research, and higher education management at both national and international levels. She is currently a Contract Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya. She previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (April 2020–April 2022), and as Director of the National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan) Overseas Hub in Malaysia (2020–2023), reflecting her active engagement in international academic collaboration. Prior to this, she served Universiti Malaya for over three decades, holding key leadership roles including Head of the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Deputy Dean (Development; Research and Innovation). In 2013, she was appointed Dean of the Health and Well-being Research Cluster, where she led interdisciplinary research initiatives across the university until her retirement in January 2020. Her leadership contributed significantly to advancing collaborative research, innovation, and academic development. At the international level, she has played a prominent role in advancing dental research through the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Southeast Asian Division, where she served as Secretary, President-Elect, President, and Immediate Past President. Through the IADR Regional Development Program, she contributed to strengthening research capacity and collaboration across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Cambodia. Her research interests include biomaterials, prosthodontics, regenerative medicine, and dental education. She is also deeply committed to educational scholarship, with particular focus on clinical competency development, reflective teaching, and asssessment including open book examination in dental education. Dr. Noor Hayaty has contributed extensively to curriculum development and academic quality assurance. She was a member of the curriculum review and steering committees for the implementation of an integrated dental curriculum at Universiti Malaya. She is also an experienced panel member for the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) in accrediting undergraduate and postgraduate dental programmes. At the national level, she has served as Chairman of the Prosthodontics Specialty Training Programme and as a Council Member of the Malaysian Dental Council (2018–2019). She currently continues to contribute to national professional standards as a member of the Dental Professional Qualifying Examination Committee and the Dental Specialists Evaluation Committee of the Malaysian Dental Council.

Dr. Siti Idayu Hasan is a Senior Lecturer in the Family Health Discipline at the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. After completing her PhD, she embarked on a significant journey as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UMCAS, collaborating with the International Tobacco Control project team in Canada. Her work focused on measuring the psychosocial and behavioral impact of key national-level policies under the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC). She is a Fellow of Hong Kong WHO Collaborating Centre (Tobacco Control) and Committee Member of Scientific Research Tobacco Working Group (WHO FCTC Malaysia). Continuing her career, Dr. Siti Idayu became the Impact Project Manager at UMCares. In this role, she led the development and management of frameworks to monitor, evaluate, and enhance the effectiveness of community-oriented projects. Her efforts have been pivotal in ensuring that these initiatives bring about meaningful and sustainable improvements in society. Dr. Siti Idayu’s current research themes include tobacco control, mental health, and impact evaluation. Her work in tobacco control encompasses projects like Smoking Cessation, Organizing, Planning, and Execution (SCOPE), Generational Endgame (GEG), and the International Tobacco Control (ITC) project. She is also deeply involved in mental health research, aiming to address and mitigate mental health issues within the community. Beyond her research, Dr. Siti Idayu consults in the expanding field of public health, with a particular focus on tobacco control and mental health. She enjoys engaging with the community through health promotion activities, such as the Generational Endgame initiative, conducted in various settings (i.e. workplace, school and public) to raise awareness and drive positive behavioral change. Dr. Siti Idayu's commitment to improving public health is unwavering. Her work is not just about research and academia; it’s about making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and communities.
