Mohd Roslan Mohd Nor is Professor at the Dept of Islamic History, Civilization and Education, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. He is currently the department's head, serving from April 2020 until now, and previously from 2009 to 2012. Amir is a syntactician who mainly conducts research on the syntax of copular constructions but also has an interest in other areas of grammar such as extraction, expletives, morphosyntax, historical syntax, and typology (especially that of the Austronesian languages).
