Rozie Sarip, originally from Shah Alam, Selangor, completed her BSc in 2004 and MSc in 2007 at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). She earned her PhD in Inorganic Chemistry in 2012 from University College London, working with Dr. Graeme Hogarth FRSC and Prof. Gopinathan Sankar FRSC. My interests are in theoretical soft matter physics, including continuum mechanics, topological physics, and active matter. I am also exploring statistical physics and stochastic thermodynamics. I completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge, working on mathematical models that capture the elastic behaviour of soft solids, covering three classes of solid: elastomers, active solids and topological metamaterials.
