Dr. Zaiton Azman is a senior lecturer at the Department of Social Administration and Justice, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Malaya. Her core area of expertise is Criminology. She has been involved in developing and promoting teaching, learning, and research opportunities in the field of criminology and social work. She teaches crime and criminal justice, crime prevention, law and advocacy in human services, and social remedy. Her research interest focuses on crime prevention and community policing programs for children beyond control in Malaysia. She also involves as a consultant team member at National level projects such as Malaysian Social Workers Knowledge and Practice (2018) and Sarawak Well Being Index (2019-2020). 1. She is currently leading the FRGS research entitled Development of a Crime Safety Index Framework Based on a Sense of Safety Approach for Urban Communities (2023-Mac 2026). She is also a committee member of the Malaysian Criminology and Corrections Association (MCCA).
show more »Dr. Noor Hasliza is an experienced and accomplished nursing professional with a long-standing career in the healthcare and academic sectors. She began her nursing career in 1997 as a Staff Nurse at Pusat Perubatan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). With a specialization in Post Basic Orthopedic and Traumatology, she progressed rapidly into leadership roles and was appointed Unit Manager of the Urology and Plastic Maxillofacial Ward at UKM in 2002. Her academic journey includes a clinical attachment at the Urology Unit, Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia, in 2006, followed by the completion of a Bachelor of Post Registration Nursing from Monash University. Between 2007 and 2008, she furthered her studies at International University College Technology Twintech and was subsequently appointed as Programme Coordinator for the Diploma in Nursing programme in 2011. She later obtained a Master of Education with a specialization in Nursing Education from AEU University. In 2014, Dr. Noor Hasliza served as Programme Coordinator and lecturer for the Advanced Diploma in Orthopedic Nursing at the International University Malaya-Wales. Alongside her academic responsibilities, she has been actively involved in professional organizations, including serving as a committee member of the Infection Control Association, a member of the Malaysian Nurses Association (MNA), and a member of the Special Interest Group (SIG) in education. Her commitment to lifelong learning led her to complete clinical training in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute under the auspices of the China Embassy and the Ministry of Health Malaysia in late 2014. She has also contributed to the China Aid Alumni Association of Malaysia (CAAM) since 2015 as a pro team committee member and magazine article contributor. In 2015, she completed training as a Clinical Instructor Assistant in healthcare under the Department of Skills Development (SKM), Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia. Her academic achievements culminated in the completion of a PhD in Social Sciences and Nursing Management from AEU University in May 2022. Dr. Noor Hasliza has held several key academic positions, including serving as a nursing lecturer at the School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UCSI University (2015–2018), and later as a nursing lecturer and Programme Leader for the Diploma and Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) programmes at Sunway University (2019–2024). In 2024, she was appointed as an Auditor for the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) for nursing programmes. Currently, Dr. Noor Hasliza is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Nursing Science at the University of Malaya. Her roles include supporting the APEL C programme for post-diploma students and member of taskforce APEL Universiti Malaya , serving as an OSCE examiner, acting as an internal examiner for postgraduate research programmes, and actively supervising postgraduate students , contributing to the development of future nursing scholars and leaders.
show more »Norlidah Alias is a Professor in the Curriculum and Instructional Technology Department, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya. Her area of expertise is Curriculum Development and TVET ( Curriculum). She was a former Deputy Dean (Higher Degrees) at the Faculty (28/3/2019-27/3/2021). Prior joining University of Malaya, she has served as an Assistant Director at Teacher Training Institution, Ministry of Education. She received her Bachelor Degree (Electrical Engineering) from Monash University, Australia, and her Master and PhD degrees from University of Malaya. Her Scopus h-indexed is 14 with 721 citations. She has headed several consultations and research projects, particularly in the area of TVET curriculum acceptance and pedagogy, funded by various international and local agencies. Currently she is the Principal Investigator for several industry research grants at national level and she is a PI for an International Research grant. She has authored and co-authored 12 books, 12 academic articles in ISI-ranked publications and many other Scopus-ranked publications. Her works are published in top-tier International journals including Journal of Educational Tehnology and Society (ETS), Eurasian Journal Mathematics, Science and Technology Education (EJMSTE), Educational Technology Research & Development (ETR&D), Frontiers in Public Health and Interactive Learning Environments. She has also served as an Advisory Committee Member TOJET and TOJSAT, Editorial Board Member for ETS and TOJET, Founding Editor of Malaysian Online Journal of Educational Technology (MOJET) (2013-2016) and Founding Editor for Journal Kurikulum dan Pengajaran Asia Pasifik (JuKu) (2013-2016). She is the Vice President of the Persatuan Kurikulum Malaysia (PerKum). She has received recognition for her teaching and research including awards such as University of Malaya's Excellent Service Award 2014 & 2020, University of Malaya Excellent Service Certificate 2013, 2019 and was Finalist for Malaysian Minister of Education Special Award (Transformative Teaching Category, 2019). She has also won the Gold Medal Award 2010 at the International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) held in Malaysia. She has presented keynotes in International Conferences and was invited speaker in TV program. She has supervised 36 PhD students (19 graduated, 17 on-going) and 23 master's students (24 graduated and 3 on-going). She has supervised an international post doctoral researcher and co-supervised PhD students at other international institutions. She has been appointed as a National TVET Technical Committee Member by the MInister of Education. She serves as an International Assessor for the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council. Currently, she has been appointed as Lead Consultant under UPUM Sdn. Bhd, for two government TVET projects under CIAST and Department of Skills Development, Ministry of Human Resources.
