DR. SITI AISYAH BINTI SAMUDIN

Siti Aisyah Samudin is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Syariah and Law Department, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya, Malaysia. She graduated with a Diploma in Syariah and Islamic Jurisprudence with honors class one from the International Islamic University College of Selangor in 2011. In 2015, she was awarded a Bachelor Degree in Syariah and Law with honors class one from the Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya. She completed her doctoral studies in 2019 at the same university in which she specialized in Islamic tort and Islamic criminal justice. Her areas of expertise and research interests are Islamic criminal law, negligence, tort and consumerism. Her current research is on the need for an approach of harmonisation between diyya and existing compensation method including Malaysian law and insurance, to provide comprehensive protection to victims of road accidents. She is currently active in research and writing articles, especially on compensation for road traffic accident victims in Malaysia, the role of Insurance and Takaful as well as the potential of diyat in the area of damages. She was the recipients for Gold Medal Poster Exhibition Research University Malaya 2019. She is currently supervising 1 masters students and upcoming 5 PhD students. Outside the University, she is an exco member of al-Mukhlisin Foundation (an NGO).

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. SUHAILI BIN SARIF

Dr. Suhaili Sarif is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Shariah and Management, Academy of Islamic Studies Universiti Malaya. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Shariah (Bsh) in 1999 and Master in Business Administration (MBA) in 2002 both from Universiti Malaya. He then received his PhD in Islamic Studies (2014) from the University of Edinburgh UK. He specializes in Islamic Management, Islamic Wealth Management and Halal Management. He teaches both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes covering many subjects within his related expertise. He has been researching on many topics related to the areas of Halal Industry, Zakat and poverty eradication, Mosque institution and Islamic Tourism Industry.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. NORHIDAYAH BINTI MOHD TAUFEK

Associate Professor Dr. Norhidayah Mohd Taufek is a researcher and academic at the Institute of Biological Sciences, Universiti Malaya (UM). She specialises in aquaculture nutrition and sustainable feed technology, with a focus on enhancing food security through the circular bioeconomy. Since obtaining her PhD in 2017, Dr. Norhidayah has established a strong track record in fish nutrition, reproduction endocrinology, and aquaculture feed formulation. Her current research spearheads the development of eco-friendly, cost-effective diets for aquatic animals and poultry by valorising local, renewable resources. She is particularly known for her work on alternative protein sources, utilising insect meal—specifically Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae and crickets—as well as mushroom by-products and underutilised crops. Beyond the laboratory, Dr. Norhidayah actively collaborates with agricultural industries to scale sustainable animal feed production. Her work aims to commercialise Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae as high-quality feed, reducing reliance on imported protein sources, and promoting environmental sustainability in Malaysia's aquaculture sector.
