PROF. DR. ILHAAMIE BINTI ABDUL GHANI AZMI

    Professor Dr Ilhaamie is serving at the Department of Islamic Management and Finance, Academy of Islamic Studies, University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Previously known as Department of Shariah and Management. She is currently the Editor in Chief for Online Journal of Islamic Management and Finance (OJIMF). She obtained her PhD at USM, MBA from UKM and BBA, IIUM.  Her current research interests are human resource management, entrepreneurship, service quality and Islamic management.  To date, she has authored and co-authored books, book chapters, journal, newspaper articles and conference papers. She has presented her papers in UAE, Singapore, Brunei, Beijing, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Turkey, Cambodia, Australia, Korea, Thailand, Spain, Italy and UK. Four of her papers have won best paper award at the international conferences. She also had been a key note speaker for two international conferences at Singapore and Malaysia. Her research teams also won diamond, silver and bronze medals in research poster competitions locally and internationally. Furthermore, she was awarded as Visiting Professor at Universitas Muhammadiyah, Yogyakarta in 2024, Visiting Fellow at University of Wollongong, Australia and Universiti Malaysia Kelantan in 2013 and Visiting Scholar at International Islamic University Malaysia in 2019. Due to her excellent work service, she was bestowed with Excellence Service Awards in 2003, 2010 and 2018 respectively, and a Certificate of Excellence Service from University of Malaya in 2011.  Due to her passion in research, she is registered with Global Agency Research, International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology for life time member, Migration Research Center as an associate member and Islamic Management Center as Head of researchers.  On top of that, she was appointed as a panel reviewer/assessor for research grants, university education programs, international conferences, books, theses, article journals and job promotion applications locally such as MQA and internationally such as OECD.  She also served as the Head of Department that she affiliated with from 2002 to 2003 and 2008 till 2011, PhD programme Coordinator from 2014 till 2016 and Head of Unit of Leadership and Wellbeing, ADeC from 2021 to 2022 where she organized webinars and 4 national conferences relating to moderation, Islamic entrepreneurship, Islamic finance and Muslim intellectuals.  Prior to that, she was the External Relation Coordinator in 2001. She also had trained government officers pertaining to moderation leadership in 2018 at INTAN. She was also a consultant for Ministry of Human Resource in 2024. Due to her passion in human resource management, she is registered as Associate Member at Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management and Majlis Profesor Negara.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. SANTHA A/P CHENAYAH @ RAMU

Associate Professor Dr. Santha Chenayah has demonstrated sustained excellence across academic scholarship, institutional leadership, and societal engagement for over three decades. Her intellectual contributions to the fields of environmental economics, operations research, and sustainability reflect a trajectory of deep expertise, policy relevance, and global impact. Holding a Ph.D. and Master’s in Economics from Osaka University, Japan, and a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from Universiti Malaya, she possesses a foundation rooted in both analytical rigor and regional policy insight.Dr. Chenayah’s research output includes over 40 peer-reviewed publications, many in high-impact journals indexed by Web of Science, Scopus, and ESCI. Her body of work addresses climate change mitigation, green disposal behavior, electric vehicle adoption, and solid waste management, demonstrating her interdisciplinary approach to contemporary environmental challenges. She has served as Principal Investigator or Co-Researcher on more than 20 funded projects supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, University of Malaya, and global institutions such as the World Bank. Her scholarly excellence is recognized through prestigious accolades, including the Outstanding Paper Award by Emerald Literati (2019), multiple Excellent Service Awards from University of Malaya, and the JSPS RONPAKU Fellowship awarded by Japan (2003–2007).Dr. Chenayah has contributed extensively to academic development through course instruction, programme coordination, and postgraduate supervision. She has taught more than 15 undergraduate and postgraduate modules covering macroeconomics, environmental economics, welfare economics, Environmental Management and Planning. Between 2020 and 2025 alone, she was appointed as internal examiner for over 40 postgraduate theses. Her leadership in academic quality assurance includes contributions to curriculum redesign and assessment at faculty and national levels.In addition to her pedagogical responsibilities, Dr. Chenayah has held key administrative roles, including multiple terms as Head of the Department of Economics at Universiti Malaya. She has served on more than 70 institutional and faculty-level committees, ranging from safety and health boards to steering panels on strategic policy and curriculum development. Her editorial leadership includes current appointments as the Chief Editor and Associate Editor of Institutions and Economies, and Associate Editor of the Singapore Economic Review (2024–2026), reflecting her influence in shaping scholarly discourse in economics across the region.A defining aspect of Dr. Chenayah’s professional portfolio is her international engagement and representation. As the Honorary Secretary of the Malaysian Economic Association (MEA), she has actively represented Malaysia at Federation of ASEAN Economic Associations (FAEA) conferences across ASEAN countries. These diplomatic assignments underscore her role in promoting regional economic integration, academic exchange, and multilateral collaboration. By fostering intellectual ties and facilitating joint dialogues on policy and development, her contributions have elevated Malaysia’s visibility in regional economics while expanding her own transnational scholarly networks. Such experiences enrich her academic leadership and position her as a regional ambassador of Malaysian economic thought.Complementing her academic and regional roles, Dr. Chenayah has contributed her expertise to national policy development and consultancy initiatives. DR. NUR HAIRANI BINTI ABD RAHMAN

Dr. Nur Hairani Abd Rahman has been a Senior Lecturer in Public Policy and Administration at Universiti Malaya since 2017. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Universiti Sains Malaysia, a Master of Public Administration from Universiti Malaya, and a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Dr. Nur Hairani is highly regarded for her expertise in social policy, with particular focus on social care, governance, social inclusion and exclusion, inequality, and well-being. Beyond her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Nur Hairani plays an integral role in academic leadership. She currently serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Public Administration and Governance and sits on the Editorial Board of the Malaysian Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities. Her membership in the Social Policy Association in the United Kingdom further amplifies her influence on an international level. In addition to her academic contributions, Dr. Nur Hairani is actively engaged in administrative roles, including coordinating both the Outbound Mobility Program and the Master of Public Administration Program. She is also a member of various faculty and university committees, where she contributes to policy development and strategic planning. Nationally, Dr. Nur Hairani serves as a Field Expert for the Malaysian Research and Development Classification System (MRDCS) under the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI). She has also been involved in consultancy projects aimed at poverty eradication, funded by Malaysia’s Economic Planning Unit. Her international experience includes serving as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Messina in Sicily, Italy. In 2023, she was awarded a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship, allowing her to join the University of California, Berkeley, as a Visiting Scholar. Dr. Nur Hairani’s dedication to her field has earned her numerous accolades, including the Excellent Service Award (2022) and the Certificate of Excellent Service (2021) from Universiti Malaya.
