Dr. Nur Hairani Abd Rahman has been a Senior Lecturer in Public Policy and Administration at Universiti Malaya since 2017. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Universiti Sains Malaysia, a Master of Public Administration from Universiti Malaya, and a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Dr. Nur Hairani is highly regarded for her expertise in social policy, with particular focus on social care, governance, social inclusion and exclusion, inequality, and well-being. Beyond her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Nur Hairani plays an integral role in academic leadership. She currently serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Public Administration and Governance and sits on the Editorial Board of the Malaysian Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities. Her membership in the Social Policy Association in the United Kingdom further amplifies her influence on an international level. In addition to her academic contributions, Dr. Nur Hairani is actively engaged in administrative roles, including coordinating both the Outbound Mobility Program and the Master of Public Administration Program. She is also a member of various faculty and university committees, where she contributes to policy development and strategic planning. Nationally, Dr. Nur Hairani serves as a Field Expert for the Malaysian Research and Development Classification System (MRDCS) under the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI). She has also been involved in consultancy projects aimed at poverty eradication, funded by Malaysia’s Economic Planning Unit. Her international experience includes serving as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Messina in Sicily, Italy. In 2023, she was awarded a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship, allowing her to join the University of California, Berkeley, as a Visiting Scholar. Dr. Nur Hairani’s dedication to her field has earned her numerous accolades, including the Excellent Service Award (2022) and the Certificate of Excellent Service (2021) from Universiti Malaya. She was also recognized with the Best Presenter Award at the Asian Universities Alliance & Universitas Indonesia (2021). Assoc. Prof (I) Ar Sarly Adre Sarkum is an architecture futurist, sustainability proponent and design activist. He founded the hybrid architectural design firm [SA]2 or Sarly Adre Sarkum Architecture Sdn Bhd which combines cutting edge architectural design solutions with extensive researched based explorative approach to solve challenging integrated design problems. The firm has won several international competitions and represented the country in several in world class exhibitions. He is currently a Past President on Council in the Malaysia Green Building Council which is under the auspices of the World Green Building Council. He was also the Deputy President of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia  (The Malaysian Institute of Architects) for 2017-2019. He currently is a GBI facilitator, previously was one of the accreditation panel for the GBI Green Rating Tool. He was the editor in chief for ‘Architecture Malaysia’ magazine which is the premier architecture journal for the Malaysian Institute of Architects. He holds 2 degrees in architecture, one from the University of Liverpool UK and the other from University of Science Malaysia. Currently he is the academic Advisor to the Masters of Green Architecture in Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). UM has also appointed him as Assoc. Prof. (Industry) for the University. Currently he is managing and coordinating the 3 niche labs for the final year for the UM Master of Architecture Programme namely, Green & Sustainable Architecture Lab (GSAL), Urban & Community Architecture Lab (UCAL) and Heritage & Conservation Architecture Lab (HCAL). 

Chuah Su Cheen is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Universiti Malaya. She has more than 20 years experience in corporate and commercial laws. Prior to joining Universiti Malaya, she was a Partner at one of the oldest and largest independent law firm in Hong Kong, specialising in structuring, establishment and promotion of investment funds. Su Cheen was recognised as one of the IFLR1000 Women Leaders in 2022. Su Cheen read law at Universiti Malaya, where she graduated with First Class Honours. She obtained LLM from the University of Cambridge. Su Cheen was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2002, and admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2009.
