Associate Professor Dr. Anwar Suhaimi is a distinguished medical professional and academician with a robust background in rehabilitation medicine. He completed both his undergraduate and postgraduate training at Universiti Malaya. Dr. Suhaimi further honed his expertise in physiatry through advanced training at renowned rehabilitation medicine centers in Australia and Turkey, before returning to serve as a Consultant Rehabilitation Physician at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Universiti Malaya Medical Center. Dr. Suhaimi spearheaded the establishment of Musculoskeletal and Pain Rehabilitation services in Malaysia, and minimally-invasive pain management programs at UMMC. He has significantly advanced teaching and research in these areas, both nationally and internationally. In response to the global pandemic, he led in expanding COVID-19 rehabilitation services and conducting cutting-edge research on the long-term functional recovery of COVID-19 survivors. He has been actively involved in the expansion of Cardiac Rehabilitation services across Malaysia and beyond. Dr. Suhaimi is the first Malaysian physiatrist with Certified Interventional Pain Sonologist (CIPS), recognized by the World Institute of Pain (WIP). His clinical and research interests are extensive, encompassing cardiac telerehabilitation, heart failure rehabilitation, digital health, back and neck pain, chronic pain management and regenerative therapies. Dr. Suhaimi's contributions to the field of rehabilitation medicine are further highlighted by his active participation in various national and international professional organizations, including the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM), the Indonesia Malaysia Regenerative Institute (IMRI) and the Malaysian Association of Rehabilitation Physicians (MARP). In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Suhaimi has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Gold Medal at PECIPTA 2022 and the Faculty of Medicine Excellent Service Award in 2017. He is also a sought-after speaker at international conferences and workshops, where he shares his expertise on chronic pain management, cardiac rehabilitation, and digital health innovations. Dr. Suhaimi's commitment to advancing rehabilitation medicine is further evidenced by his involvement in numerous research projects, including the development of AI-enabled applications for personalized cardiac rehabilitation and the study of long-term effects of COVID-19 on survivors. show more »DR.-ING Nurdiana Nordin received her B.Sc. (field: Pure Chemistry) under Biasiswa Khas Tenaga Akademik (BKTA) Scholarship from the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia in 2012 and her M.Sc. (Field: Organic and Computational Chemistry) under SLAB Scholarship in 2015 from Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. After graduation, she joined the Institute of Microstructure Technology (IMT) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2016 under the supervision of Dr. Neil MacKinnon and Dr. Vlad Badilita in the group of Prof. Jan G. Korvink. At the same time, she also joined the Bio-Interfaces Graduate International School (BIF-IGS) at the Institut für Biologische Grenzflächen, IBG. She received her PhD degree in 2020 from BIF-IGS and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, KIT. In Karlsruhe, she was trained in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology and clean room fabrication of microfluidic devices. She had extensive laboratory work that included electrochemical systems, microfluidic fabrication processes, bioorganic synthesis, biopolymer surface modification, and the NMR techniques. Her research interests include NMR development, bioorganic mechanisms, biomedical microsystems (BioMEMS - sensor), organ on-a-chip, flexible electronics and metabolomic studies.

Hasanuzaman is a Chartered Engineer, UK and working as Associate Professor at the UM Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC), Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE), Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia. He was listed among the World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University & Elsevier since 2020 to 2024; Top 4 Scientists in Malaysia (Energy Engineering), Engineering & Technology, AD Scientific Index 2025. He is recipient of AUA Scholars Award 2023-2024, Excellence Bangladeshi Academician Award 2024, Universiti Malaya Excellent Service Awrad 2023, Universiti Malaya Excellent Service Certificate 2021. Dr. Hasan served as the Programme Coordinator Master of Renewable Energy, Double Degree Programme with Master of Energy Science, Kyoto University, Japan from April 2012 to September 2020. He earned his PhD and an M. Eng. Sc. from the University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia and a B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh. He is a recipient of UM Excellence Award 2012 for his outstanding achievement in his PhD; merit Scholarship from Bangladesh Scholarship Council and Nippon Foundation, Japan in 2003-2004. Dr. Hasan’s research interests include Thermal Engineering, Renewable Energy, Solar Thermal, Energy and Buildings, Energy Policy, Electric and Hydrogen Vehicles, Sustainability and Carbon Pricing. He is an Associate Editor of the Alexandria Engineering Journal, Elsevier; Guest Editor of Renewable Energy. His 2 books: (1) Technologies for Solar Thermal Energy, 2022 and (2) Energy for Sustainable Development, 2020 published by Elsevier.
