DR. SHARIFAH MUHAIRAH SHAHABUDIN

Dr. Sharifah Muhairah Shahabudin is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Political Science, Public Administration and Development Studies at the Faculty of Business & Economics, University of Malaya. She earned her PhD from the same university’s Faculty of Economics and Administration in 2014, following a Master of Science in Administration from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UITM) and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Canterbury University, New Zealand. Her research focuses on socioeconomics, social stratification, gender, youth development, and entrepreneurship, with numerous publications in both local and international journals, as well as media contributions in these areas. She is also an active member of the Gender Budget Group, an initiative led by Engender Consultancy and Women’s Aid Organisation to advance gender-responsive budgeting in national policy. Before joining academia, Dr. Sharifah spent a decade in various professional roles, including as a Research Assistant with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Malaysia, where her work on the *Empowering Women Through Entrepreneurship* project sparked her interest in research, ultimately leading to her doctoral studies. Her commitment to development issues continues to drive her research and publications today.

PROF. DR. NG KOK HAUR

Dr. Ng Kok Haur is a Professor of Statistics at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (ISM) and the Deputy Head of ISM (Research), Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya. He also served as the Chairperson of the Centre of Research for Statistical Modelling and Methodology, Universiti Malaya. His research interests include volatility modelling and applications, modelling and analysis of high frequency data arising in financial economics, and statistical control charts. Dr. Ng actively publishes in peer-reviewed journals indexed by Web of Science, Scopus, and other reputable databases. Among those journals including The North American Journal of Economics and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, Studies in Nonlinear Dynamics and Econometrics, Finance Research Letters, International Review of Economics & Finance, Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, Economic Analysis and Policy, Communications in Statistics - Simulation and Computation, Expert Systems with Applications and European Journal of Industrial Engineering. He has also received several research grants from both industrial and academic institutions. He is currently supervising Ph.D. and M.Sc. students in various areas of statistics, financial econometrics, finance, and economics. Apart from that, he serves as associate editors for journals such as the Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation (WoS SCIE-cited Q3), reviewers for various journals, a guest editor for a special issue of the Malaysian Journal of Science, External Advisors for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, thesis examiners, committee members for local and international conferences and invited and contributed speakers at conferences.

PROF. DR. CHUAH CHIN TIK

Professor Jason Chuah FRSA SFHEA holds the Chair of Commercial and Maritime Law at the City Law School, UK. He has recently been appointed as a Dean of Faculty of Law at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He was the holder of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Award, Barclays Bank Scholarship and the Cambridge Commonwealth Fellowship at Cambridge University. His PhD looked at the influence of the need for commercial certainty on the judicial development of commercial and maritime law. He also has a Professional Certificate in Export with Distinction from the UK Institute of Export. He holds a First Class Hons degree in Law from the University of Malaya. He has written thirteen books and well over 200 articles. He is editor of several international journals, including the Journal of International Maritime Law, International Company and Commercial Law Review, International Trade Law and Regulation, Shipping & Trade Law, International Transport Law Review, and Finance & Credit Law. He has served on research councils in the UK, South Africa, Poland, Canada and Colombia. His work has been cited by institutions in the UK, US, EU and Asia. He is also Executive Director of the London Universities Maritime Law and Policy Group. He has been involved in various consultations with the Ministry of Justice, the OECD, the ICC, the Association of British Insurers, the UNCITRAL, etc.
