ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. AZAH ANIR BINTI NORMAN

Azah Anir Norman is an associate professor and currently the Chief Digital Officer, Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia. She earned her undergraduate degree at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and her master's degree in electronic commerce security from Royal Holloway University of London in the UK in 2004. She completed her Ph.D. from the University of Malaya (UM) in 2014. She specializes in information security management systems (ISMS), secure applications for ICT, privacy and human elements in security, information security governance, security on social platforms, and e-commerce security. She is also very interested in topics pertaining to Islamic ICT (such as Halal and Quran Authentication), Design Thinking, and Teaching & Learning Innovations. Azah Norman published numerous academic papers in reputable ISI and SCOPUS publications in the fields of information security governance, information security management, information security systems, information security & trust, information security & privacy, information security education awareness, information security & assurance, and information security policy & governance. Before entering the academic world, she worked as a Consultant at MSC Trustgate.com, a subsidiary of MDEC and a partner of VeriSign Inc. in the USA. In Trustgate, she provided Internet Security implementation consultation to numerous top 500 companies. Prior to becoming the consultant at Trustgate, she experienced working at VeriSign Inc. in Silicon Valley, San Jose, California, in 2001. As a specialist in information security management systems, she is also part of an expert in the working group WG/G/5-1 Information Security Management System, Department of Standards, Malaysia, and the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). She belongs to the Association of Information Systems (AIS) and the MyAIS (AIS Malaysia Chapter), an organization that promotes excellence and knowledge progress in the field of information systems research and practice.  She is also a secretary at the Cybersecurity Academia Malaysia Association (CSAM), a national association that promotes cybersecurity teaching, awareness, and research in Malaysia. She received a prestigious award from the Royal Academy of Engineering of the United Kingdom (RAENG) as the Leader of Innovation in 2018.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. THARANI LOGANATHAN

Tharani Loganathan is a Public Health Medical Specialist with a specialization in Health Economics, and a Medical Lecturer at the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. She is the course coordinator for the Global Health, Global Health Leadership and Law and Health modules in the Masters in Public Health (MPH) programme. She has 17 years of working experience with the Ministry of Health, Malaysia in diverse areas, notably in Primary Health Care. Dr Tharani has a medical degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and an MPH and DrPH from University Malaya. For her doctoral degree, Tharani conducted a comprehensive economic evaluation of rotavirus vaccines beyond cost-effectiveness, to include benefits of vaccination in improving equity and financial risk protection to inform its inclusion into the national immunization program Malaysia. She is particularly interested in health systems and policy research towards advancing health system goals of achieving Universal Health Coverage. Dr Tharani has written and spoken extensively on migrant access to healthcare, including the healthcare financing and social protection policies for migrant workers in Malaysia. Currently, Dr Tharani is investigating the provisions for educational access for non-citizen children in Malaysia. Tharani Loganathan is an Atlantic Fellow for Health Equity in South East Asia.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. YASMIN BINTI KAMARUDIN

Dr. Yasmin Kamarudin completed her undergraduate dental studies at University of Western Australia and graduated with honours in 2008. Since then she has completed her specialist training in orthodontics at University of Bristol (UK). She graduated in 2017 with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) and was awarded the prestigious Harry Orton Prize for best academic performance by a postgraduate student in the Bristol University Orthodontic DDS/MOrth programme. She also received a prize for best research poster presentation at the British Orthodontic Conference in 2016 for her study on prolonged antimicrobial properties of a novel mouth rinse. Currently she is an orthodontic lecturer at the University of Malaya where she supervises both the undergraduate and postgraduate dental students. She examines for both the MOrth Part 2 examinations for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. She is an avid researcher with interest in qualitative studies, social media and e-professionalsm, Illegal orthodontics and Flipped teaching.." Outside of the university setting, Dr Yasmin is an active member of the Malaysian Association of Orthodontists and is currently holding the post of Publicity and Public Relations Subcommittee Chairperson.
