Gs. Dr. Ikhwan Jamaludin is a Senior Lecturer specialising in geospatial analytics, urban planning, and retail spatial intelligence. His research integrates Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and urban analytics to support data-driven decision-making in cities. He holds a PhD focusing on the use of social network data for flood mapping and disaster assessment, contributing to participatory geospatial approaches.
Prior to academia, he gained industry experience in retail site planning and catchment analysis for major developments across Malaysia. His current research interests include spatial equity, geospatial digital twins, and smart city development. Dr. Muhammad Ikhwan actively engages in interdisciplinary research, publication, and industry collaboration, aiming to bridge geospatial science with real-world urban and economic challenges.
