Gs. Dr. Muhammad Ikhwan Jamaludin is a Senior Lecturer with expertise in geospatial analytics, urban planning, and retail spatial intelligence. His work focuses on integrating Geographic Information Systems (GIS), urban analytics, and data-driven approaches to address complex urban and socio-economic challenges. He holds a PhD with a research focus on the use of social network data for flood mapping and disaster assessment, contributing to the advancement of participatory and citizen-centric geospatial methodologies. Prior to his academic career, Gs. Dr. Muhammad Ikhwan gained extensive industry experience in retail analytics, site planning and webGIS, where he was involved in catchment analysis, location intelligence, and webGIS development for local authority. This industry background informs his applied and solution-oriented research approach. His current research interests include spatial equity mapping, geospatial digital twins, and smart city development. He also actively engages with the public through community-based recycling initiatives, fostering environmental awareness and encouraging behavioural change in urban residential communities.
