Dr Chin Kim Ling is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Medical Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, with expertise in virology, cellular and molecular immunology, antiviral immunity, and host–virus interactions. Her research focuses on understanding how host factors regulate viral replication and disease progression, particularly in dengue, Zika, chikungunya, and other medically important viral infections. A key direction of her current work explores RNA epitranscriptomic regulation, including NSUN2-mediated m5C modification, in dengue virus replication, immune signalling, antibody-dependent enhancement, and disease pathogenesis.

Dr Chin welcomes research collaborations that bridge molecular virology, immunology, natural products, nanomedicine, biomarker discovery, and translational antiviral research. Her research profile is strengthened by multiple grants as Principal Investigator and Co-Researcher, peer-reviewed publications, and recognitions including the Top 100 Best Achievements award, Universiti Malaya Excellence Award 2022, and Winner of the Microbiology Presentation Track. These achievements reflect her commitment to impactful research, scientific excellence, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
