Dr Anita Bustam is an academic clinician in the field of Clinical Oncology at the University of Malaya Medical Centre. Her clinical work mostly focuses on breast, lung, paediatric and brain cancers. Her research activities include conducting Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials on various common tumour sites, supervising and co-supervising postgraduate students’ project in clinical as well as pre-clinical areas.

She has been very involved in the training of future oncologists in Malaysia including training programme and curriculum development.

In the international arena, Dr Anita Bustam has been involved with several IAEA projects and collaborative work with regional oncology groups in promoting education and scientific exchange in the field of radiation oncology.
