Biography | |
Dr. Mohd Salim Mohamed is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Science and Technology Studies in the Faculty of Science at the University of Malaya. He received his B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Science in 2006, followed by his M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. in 2009 and 2014, respectively. Dr. Mohamed's research is concentrated in the field of Bioethics, with a particular focus on biomedical ethics and policy. His areas of expertise include ethical decision-making in medicine, gender and ethics, ethics in sustainability, research ethics, and ethics education. He is actively engaged in sharing his research findings through presentations at various international conferences in countries such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Indonesia. Additionally, he has contributed to the academic discourse by publishing his research in esteemed international ethics journals, including Science and Engineering Ethics, Accountability in Research-Policies and Quality Assurance, Journal of Empirical Research on Human Research Ethics, Biotechnology Law Report, and Revista Romana de Bioetica. As a lecturer, Dr. Mohamed imparts his knowledge by teaching a range of ethics courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Some of the courses he teaches include Ethics and Safety, Ethics in Science and Technology, and Ethics of Knowledge and Profession. Dr. Mohamed is also a member of the International Association of Bioethics (IAB) and the Asian Bioethics Association (ABA), further exemplifying his dedication to the field of bioethics on a global scale. |
