After graduating from Western Michigan University, I had the opportunity to gain experience across several industries. I began my professional career in 1998 as a Personnel Assistant in the hotel industry. Subsequently, I held the position of Human Resources Executive in the manufacturing and insurance sectors in 2000 and 2001, respectively. After leaving the insurance industry in 2003, I decided to pursue a career in education and enrolled in the Diploma in Education (TESL) (Kursus Perguruan Lepasan Ijazah) under the Ministry of Education at the International Languages Teacher Training Institute (IPBA) in 2004. In 2005, I embarked on my teaching career at two government polytechnics in Kota Kinabalu and Port Dickson. In 2007, I transferred to Universiti Malaya as a Language Teacher (DG41) in the English Language Department. Since then, I have continued to develop my academic and professional expertise, and I currently serve as a Language Lecturer (DG48) in the English Language Department, Faculty of Languages and Linguistics.
