Biography | |
Dr. Zamzami Zainuddin is a Senior Lecturer and Chair of the Centre for Curriculum & Instructional Technologies (CITeD) at the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. He completed his Ph.D. in Information and Technology Studies in Education at the Faculty of Education, University of Hong Kong (HKU), under the Hong Kong scholarship. During his Ph.D. studies at HKU, he received an award from the Faculty of Education as an Outstanding Student Research Award (Postgraduate Students Publication Award) 2019. He has been listed among the 2022 and 2023 World’s Top 2% Scientists Based on Scientific Impacts in the field of Education, announced by Stanford University (Ioannidis, 2022; 2023) The primary theme of his research has been on designing context-specific technology-enhanced pedagogical instructions for different education levels and institutions. He has published on this topic in several top-tier international journals (SSCI Q1), including Computers & Education, Educational Research Review, British Journal of Educational Technology, Australasian Journal of Educational Technology, Education and Information Technologies, and Interactive Learning Environment. His scientific works have also been published in several other renowned SSCI-indexed journals (i.e., International Review of Research in Open and Distributed Learning, Innovations in Education & Teaching International, Education & Urban Society, Asia Pacific Journal of Education, and JMIR Serious Games). His expertise also includes educational research, bibliometric analysis, meta-analysis, and systematic literature review. He started publishing a review paper in 2016 on flipped classroom, which has gained more than 700 citations. In 2020, he kept writing about the topic of gamification for the third-best journal in the field of education. "Education Research Review" (IF: 10.207). The article has attained the first highly cited paper with more than 500 in this esteemed journal. His research has also been presented at renowned and reputable international conferences such as IEEE, AERA, and ASIS&T. He has also worked on a number of international e-learning projects in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Indonesia such as "Gamifying sexual education," "Reading Battle," and "Gamified reading assessment." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am available to supervise PhD and Master's research students and would welcome inquiries for collaboration. |
