Nor Shahida is a senior lecturer at the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 2019. She received her B. A Hons. in majoring Geography from University of Malaya in 2002. She was then offered a Tutorship programme to pursue her postgraduate study in University of Malaya where she obtained her M. A in Physical Geography in 2010 and followed by PhD under SLAB/SLAI Fellowship programme. She completed her PhD in Geography of Coastal System from the University of Malaya in 2017 where her research focused on impact of coastal changes, vulnerability and adaptation of poor community. Her research interest are coastal system, physical geography, environmental hazard, vulnerability and adaptation of community.
