Biography | |
Dr. Choong Pui Yee is a senior lecturer at the Department of Southeast Asian Studies at University Malaya. She teaches comparative politics in Southeast Asia, ASEAN studies and security issues in Southeast Asia. Her research interests include social movements, contentious politics, Malaysia's domestic politics, and security issues in Southeast Asia. She has also published a few book chapters, journal articles, policy papers and numerous commentaries. A trained political scientist, Dr. Choong has held senior research positions in think tanks in Malaysia and Singapore. Beyond her academic research experience, she has worked on several state government projects. She is the author of The Political Mobilization of Christian Community in Malaysia. |
