Dr. Mohd Usman Bin Mohd Junaidi has been a dedicated researcher and senior lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia, since 2016. He earned his BEng in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) in 2012, followed by a Ph.D. from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2016. In his academic role, Dr. Mohd Usman imparts knowledge across a spectrum of chemical engineering disciplines. His teaching portfolio includes undergraduate courses such as Thermodynamics, Mass Transfer, Physical and Analytical Chemistry, and Fluid Mechanics. Through these subjects, he emphasizes the integration of theoretical principles with practical applications, preparing students to tackle complex engineering challenges. Beyond his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Mohd Usman served as the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs at the Faculty of Engineering, UM, from January 2022 until December 2024. In this administrative capacity, he plays a pivotal role in enhancing the student experience, addressing student concerns, and fostering a supportive academic environment. Dr. Mohd Usman's research interests are centered on gas separation and purification, advanced material development, and green technology. He has contributed to the field through numerous publications in ISI-indexed journals, reflecting his commitment to advancing chemical engineering knowledge. Beyond his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Mohd Usman is actively involved in the academic community. He has collaborated with various experts, contributing to the advancement of chemical engineering. show more »Mohd. Zamin Bin Jumaat is currently working as a professor and head of Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya. His obtained a PhD on structural engineering from University of Southampton, UK. In addition to his post as head of department, Mohd. Zamin is also a council and corporate member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), a professional engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), the head of the Universiti Malaya Research Centre for Innovative Construction Technology, and the co-opted committee member of the Civil and Structural Division of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia. Mohd. Zamin's research interests are in the area of analysis and design of structures, instrumentations and structural investigations, repair and strengthening.
show more »Norjihan is currently an Associate Professor in Department of Information Systems, FCSIT, Universiti Malaya. She started working at UM as a lecturer since November 2002 and become a senior lecturer in 2015. Her PhD in Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2013), and her Master in Information Technology (2000) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and she obtained her Bachelor Degree in Information Technolgy from Universiti Utara Malaysia (2000). Currently, she is the Head of Department for Information Systems since 7 October 2019. Her research interest is in the areas of information security which she focuses more on information privacy, data security and data protection. Norjihan managed to secure various research grants from internal and external funds as Principal Investigator, and also a co-researcher for many grants. She was actively involved in the curriculum development when was appointed as Programme Coordinator for Master of Information Technology Management and was involved in many programme development at the faculty level. Apart from this, she also involved being a panel interviewer for Hadiah Latihan Persekutuan and Biasiswa Yang di Pertuan Agong.
