TS. DR. CHANG SIOW WEE

Ts. Dr. Siow-Wee Chang is a senior lecturer in the Bioinformatics Programme at the Institute of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence (AI) from Universiti Malaya. To date, she has published over 40 papers in reputable journals and conference proceedings at both local and international levels. Her research spans artificial intelligence (AI), data science, bioinformatics, and medical informatics, with a strong interdisciplinary approach that bridges life sciences, medicine, and computer science. She applies AI to advance biomedical research, focusing on disease diagnosis & prognosis, biomarker discovery, and drug discovery & repurposing. Her studies integrate AI-driven methods, multi-omics data integration, gene expression analysis, and spatial transcriptomics to identify potential disease biomarkers and therapeutic candidates. She also applies computational drug screening, molecular docking, and AI-driven predictive modeling to accelerate pharmaceutical research.  Beyond biomedical research, Siow-Wee Chang applies machine learning and deep learning in agricultural studies, particularly in plant species identification and crop disease detection. Her works focus on uncovering patterns in crop data and analyzing their relationships, contributing to advancements in precision agriculture, plant health monitoring, and data-driven farming solutions.

DR. CHE CHONG CHIN

Dr. Che Chong Chin, PhD, holds the position of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Nursing Science, Faculty of Medicine at Universiti Malaya. Her academic journey includes the achievement of a BNSc degree in Nursing and a Master of Nursing (Education) from Monash University, followed by the completion of her PhD at the Universiti Malaya. Dr. Che has extensive experience in nursing and midwifery practice. Throughout her academic career spanning over 15 years, she has made substantial contributions to both teaching and research domains.  Her research focus spans Gerontology Nursing, Maternal and Child Health and Community Health, with a current emphasis on pioneering a psychosocial approach to prevent healthcare-associated infections. Notably, she actively contributes to the development of a time banking model tailored for ageing and sustainable communities. Dr Che is a devoted life member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and holds a position on the Early Career Researcher Editorial Advisory Board of Nursing Open.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. R. JEYAKANTHA A/L RATNASINGAM

Associate Professor Dr. Jeyakantha Ratnasingam obtained his undergraduate degree from the National University of Malaysia and his Masters Degree in Internal Medicine from University of Malaya. He completed his advanced training in endocrinology with the Ministry of Health Malaysia and had undergone a fellowship in endocrinology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, Australia. He manages patients with type 2 and type 1 diabetes, osteoporosis, pituitary, thyroid, gonadal and adrenal disorders. To further pursue his interest in neuro-endocrinology, he has also undergone an attachment at the Auckland City Hospital Pituitary Centre in New Zealand and the Cambridge University's endocrine clinic at the Addenbrooke's Hospital in the United Kingdom. He is currently a senior consultant endocrinologist and the Head of Endocrinology at the University of Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur. Besides managing patients with endocrine disorders, he plays an active role in investigator as well as industry initiated clinical trials in the field of endocrinology, diabetes and osteoporosis. He has published papers in academic journals and actively speaks at scientific meetings. He is currently the council member of the Malaysian Endocrine and Metabolic Society, Diabetes Malaysia and the Malaysian Osteoporosis Society. He also sits on the editorial board of the Asian Journal of Diabetology. Dr. Jeya is particularly interested in the field of neuroendocrinology, aiming at improving outcomes for patients living with pituitary disorders.
