DR. SYED MAHMOOD

•He completed Bachelors in pharmacy from Jamia Hamdard University (New Delhi) in 2011 and Masters in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) from APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (Noida) and International Islamic University Malaysia (Kuantan) in a the sandwich program which was completed in 2013. He also holds a post-graduate diploma in Pharmaceutical drug regulatory affairs from Jamia Hamdard (New Delhi, 2012). •He completed his PhD from International Islamic University Malaysia (Kuantan) in 2017. His PhD research was on drug delivery and technologies. For his PhD, he received a prestigious Islamic development bank scholarship. • After his PhD, he worked at University Malaysia Pahang, as a senior lecturer teaching in the pharmaceutical engineering department. •His specialization is on the field of pharmaceutical technology and engineering area which includes (drug delivery, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical nanotechnology (nanoparticles mediated drug delivery), animal model, analytical chemistry (LC-MS, HPLC) and system validation and qualification. •Currently he is working at Universiti Malaya in pharmacy faculty attached to the pharmaceutical technology department.

DR. MUHAMMAD FAUZI BIN ABD JALIL

ChM. Dr Muhammad Fauzi Abd Jalil hold a PhD in Pharmacy from University College London, UK. He also has a master's in engineering (Bioprocess) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Degree in Biotechnology from International Islamic University Malaysia. He started his career in Biocon Sdn Bhd as an Associate in Quality Assurance department and later he moved to Drug Product department. In Biocon, he gained experienced on handling the QA and cGMP related documents, large scale Insulin manufacturing, revised the Batch Manufacturing Records and spearheaded Continued Process Verification Report. Later in his career he joint Sumitomo Chemical Enviro Agro Sdn Bhd as the Deputy Manager in Formulation department, later known as the Chemistry department. In Sumitomo, he was responsible to develop, improve and innovate new formulation or product for insecticide.  Currently, he is interested in improving the delivery of high potential drug but with poor absorption and permeation at the targeted area via various type of formulations and techniques. AI and 3D printing also are one of the areas that he wants to develop especially for personalized medicine. With a diversified experienced in Pharmaceutical and insecticide industry he welcomes any type of collaboration in future.

PROF. DR. LOO CHU KIONG

Prof. Dr. Loo has conducted fascinating research over the 12 years in The University of Malaya, particularly in Lifelong Machine Learning, Explainable Robotics, Explainable AI and recently in Trustworth & Sustainable AI. His numerous publications on the topic have been well-received and have made a substantial contribution to the Continual Machine Intelligence.  He has published more than 200 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers on neurorobotics and machine intelligence. In high-impact journals such as IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, Neural Networks, Journal of Neural Systems, IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, to name a few. Prof. Loo is also the recipient of JSPS fellowship award from Japan and the Georg Forster Fellowship award from Humboldt Foundation, Germany, Belt and Road Academic Fellowship Scheme, China. He has been the visiting professor of Osaka Metropolitan University, Japan, and King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand and Adjunct Professor in The Harry Butler Institute, Murdoc University. He has applied the developed theory to medical diagnosis, prognosis, and brain-inspired Machine Intelligence, and the potential of his research findings has been successfully demonstrated in various domains, including digital healthcare and cognitive robotics. Chu Kiong has been recognized for his excellence in applied research that has commercial potential based on the 10 patents filed. He is one of the founders of UM spin-off company, UMCH Sdn. Bhd. specializing in AI-enabled connected healthcare solutions.   Moreover, he is honoured Malaysia’s Research Star Award 2019 - Research and Innovation Excellence Awards, from the Ministry of Education as one of the most influential researchers in Malaysia. He received the Top Research Scientist Malaysia (TRSM) award 2020 from the Academy of Science Malaysia.
