Dr. Hannuun Yaacob currently holds the position of a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Decision Science within the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Malaya. She earned her Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Sheffield, UK. Her primary research interests encompass Bayesian statistics and biostatistics. In her previous research project, she focused on statistical genetics, where she developed a Bayesian statistical model to identify potential causal genes for breast cancer. Presently, her research revolves around preference-based measures and health-related quality of life, with a keen interest in the application of statistics in social science research. Dr. Hannuun's work effectively bridges the gap between statistical analysis and the human experience, significantly contributing to our understanding of preferences, aspirations, and the tools used for measurement. An enthusiastic user of the R software, she has also served as a guest speaker at the R conference in 2022 and continues to primarily employ R software in both her research and teaching endeavors. show more »Mohd Firrdhaus Mohd Sahabuddin is a Professional Architect registered with the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM), a member of the education committee for the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) and a graduate member of the Royal Incorporation of Architects Scotland (RIAS). He is also a graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He gained his Master's degree in Advanced Sustainable Design from the University of Edinburgh and was later awarded the ‘Andrew Grant Award’ for the best dissertation in the University for the year. He then pursued his study at a PhD level at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow with the British Government Sponsorship under the Commonwealth Scholarship Tenable in the United Kingdom. He worked with the Public Works Department (PWD) of Malaysia from 2005 to 2021. His last position was as the head of the Architectural Forensic Unit in the Architectural Branch, Public Works Department of Malaysia. Currently, he is holding a position as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya. His research work focuses on the areas of sustainable architecture and indoor environmental quality (IEQ) such as thermal comfort, visual comfort, indoor air quality, and building ventilation.
show more »Dr. Muhammad Hadi Bin Mustafa is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying at the Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With a robust academic background, Dr. Hadi earned his Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying from the International Islamic University Malaysia in 2013, followed by a Master’s Degree in Construction Project Management from the University of Manchester, UK, in 2014. He completed his Ph.D. in Built Environment at the International Islamic University Malaysia in 2023. Dr. Hadi is an enthusiastic researcher in the field of advanced construction technologies. His research interests include Historic Building Information Modelling (HBIM), Building Information Modelling (BIM), Cost Management, Big Data and Visualisation in Construction and Architecture, which includes preserving traditional and cultural values in the built environment and real estates. His current work emphasizes the integration of modern technological tools like laser scanning and BIM to enhance cost management, visualization, and the preservation of traditional and cultural values within the built environment. His research contributions include multiple published articles focusing on innovative construction management approaches, such as the utilization of 5D BIM for cost management, and the application of BIM in heritage building preservation. Notable publications include studies on green building effectiveness, supply management for industrialised building systems, and the development of BIM-backed decision support systems for heritage structures. He is also enthusiastic about the implementation of disruptive technologies in the built environment, aiming to drive innovation and enhance industry practices. Dr. Hadi has been actively involved in several national and private research projects, including initiatives on sustainable waste management for younger generations and also mediation and legal practices in the Malaysian quantity surveying practices. He has also contributed significantly to academia through his supervision of postgraduate students and teaching courses related to Information Technology Management for Projects, and various aspects of construction works measurement. In addition to his academic and research roles, Dr. Hadi has developed microcredential courses on BIM for historic buildings and the built environment, further extending his impact in professional and educational spheres. His expertise is further solidified by his work on intellectual property, including the HBIM Framework for Malay Historical Buildings. Dr. Hadi's commitment to advancing construction management and his dedication to preserving cultural heritage through innovative technology make him a notable researcher in his field.
