Presently, Dr. Mrutunjaya Bhuyan holds the position of Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Science and acts as the Deputy Head of the Center of Theoretical and Computational Physics (CTCP) at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His academic journey includes serving as a FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute Tecnologico de Aeronautica, Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil (2019-2016); a CAS Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China (2014-2016); and a DAE Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Physics, Department of Atomic Energy, India (2013-2014). He obtained his Ph.D. in Theoretical Nuclear and Astrophysics from Sambalpur University (2008-2013), and his M.Sc. in Nuclear Physics Specialisation from Sambalpur University, India (2006-2008). His research primarily focuses on nuclear structure and reaction studies using various theoretical models. Additionally, he delves into astrophysical aspects such as neutron stars, hyperon stars, and their properties using nuclear models. His research findings have been more than 90 publications in numerous internationally recognized journals including Physics Letter B, Physical Review C, Astrophysical Journal, International Journal of Modern Physics E, Europhysics Letter, European Physical Journal A, Modern Physics Letter, Journal of Physics: Particle and Nuclear Physics, Physics of Atomic Nuclei, Particle Physics Nuclear Letter, Nuclear Physics A, Acta Physica Polonica, PRAMAN - A Scientific Journal, IEEE, Springer, and more. Mrutunjaya Bhuyan also contributes to the scientific community as an Editorial Member of four international peer-reviewed scientific journal publishers: Journal of Nuclear Physics, Science Publishing Group (USA), SCIREA Journal of Physics (USA), and Journal of Nuclear Physics (India). He actively participates as a reviewer for various scientific peer-reviewed international journals such as the International Journal of Modern Physics, Modern Physics Letter, Physica Scripta, Canadian Journal of Physics, Moden Physics Letter, Journal of Physics, Journal of Physics G, European Physical Journal, Indian Journal of Physics, Nuclear Physics A, Journal of Nuclear Physics and more 30 Journals. Notably, he was awarded the Young Scientist Award in Physics 2018 by the Odisha Physical Society and Listed in the Top 2% of World Scientists in Respective Field in 2022 by Stanford University on Elsevier Data Repository. |
