Dr. Aiman A. Hamid is a Medical Lecturer in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (ORL-HNS), Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya, whose career reflects a strong commitment to clinical excellence, surgical expertise, and medical education.
An alumnus of Alam Shah Science School (ASiS), Dr. Aiman pursued his foundation studies at the Pusat Asasi Sains, Universiti Malaya, before enrolling in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme at the University of Malaya. He successfully completed his medical degree in 2011, laying the foundation for a distinguished career in healthcare and academic medicine.
In 2013, he joined the University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) as a Medical Officer in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. His passion for the specialty and dedication to patient care led him to pursue postgraduate surgical training through the Master of Surgery (ORL-HNS) programme at the University of Malaya in 2015. Following years of intensive clinical and surgical training, he was awarded the Master of Surgery in Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (MSurg ORL-HNS) in 2022.
Upon completing his specialist training, Dr. Aiman served as a Clinical Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at UMMC from 2022 to 2024. During this period, he was actively involved in delivering specialist ENT services, managing complex head and neck conditions, and contributing to the training and supervision of medical officers and postgraduate trainees.
In 2024, he was appointed as a Medical Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. In addition to his academic responsibilities, he remains actively engaged in clinical practice, contributing to the advancement of patient care, surgical education, and professional development within the field of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.
With a career spanning clinical service, specialist training, and academia, Dr. Aiman continues to uphold the values of excellence, innovation, and lifelong learning in his pursuit of advancing healthcare and nurturing the next generation of medical professionals.
