Dr. Norfaizal holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of Malay language teaching and learning. He has extensive experience in the field of teaching and learning Malay as a second language or foreign language. He started his career in 2011 at the Centre for Continuing Studies, University Malaya, and subsequently at the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics in 2014 until now.

Teaching students with a variety of different backgrounds, such as diplomats, conglomerates, entrepreneurs, uniformed bodies, government agencies, and many more, made him know the best ways and methods to teach Malay to foreign speakers.

He became a reference to stakeholders, whether local or foreign universities that offer Malay language courses, to obtain views and guidance related to learning the Malay language both within and outside the country.
