BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Zaidi is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Finance, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya, specializing in Islamic Finance. A passionate advocate for financial literacy, he has been featured across various media platforms. His TV appearances include Selamat Pagi Malaysia, Malaysia Hari Ini (MHI), Wanita Hari Ini, Biz Malaysia, and Astro AWANI. His articles have been published in leading newspapers, including Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian, Kosmo!, Harian Metro, New Straits Times, and The Malaysian Insight. To date, he has made about 40 media engagements (appearances and mentions) and published more than 50 articles. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Iqtishadia: Journal of Islamic Economics and Business and is on the International Advisory Editorial Board for the Asian Journal of Islamic Management (AJIM). He is also the Secretary for the International Council of Islamic Finance Educators (ICIFE) and Vice President of the IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF) Alumni Wing.

His research interests include, but not limited to, Islamic finance, Islamic social finance, and Islamic financial literacy, supported by grants totaling RM430,240. Beyond his professional life, he is a proud father to an autistic son and enjoys riding motorcycles and reading books, with a particular passion for history books.
