I am a senior lecturer at the English Dept of the Faculty of  Languages & Linguistics, University of Malaya (UM), and have over 30 years experience  teaching English language proficiency courses, ESP and am involved in supervising PhD and masters students. I was also the Head of English Dept (July 2016 - Jan 2019) and am currently a member of the curriculum review committee. My research areas range from workplace communication, spoken discourse, and problem-based learning and teaching approach in language learning. Some of the research projects which I have done are in the fields of workplace talk interactions and spoken discourse analysis of business meetings.
