BIOGRAPHY


My most significant contribution:

The quality of graduates ,research output and administration  in the last 15 years:

1)      The first one in my department receive more than 50 citations (web of science) in 2015.

2)       The first one in my department produce 4 phd graduates and 1 master by full research graduates in the last 4 years are able produce more than 17 papers and publish in Q1 and Q2 ISI publications.

3)      The first one in my department receive less than RM300,000 in the last 4 years and are able to produce more than 15  papers and publish in  Q1 and Q2 ISI journals.

4)      The first one in my department helped department to run data mining workshop in 2013 and   generate income.

5)      The first one in my department I managed to produce 2 first place  and 1 second place of FCSIT's UM3MT Competition Phd graduates in the last 4 years.

6)      The first one in my department use Weka (open source data mining tool) to replace IBM SPSS molder 16  as a teaching tool and help the department to save more than RM15,000 license fee per year. Moreover, I received in CTE mark as 5 of 5 in this course. 

7)   The first one in my department received more than RM 200,000 industry research grant (2007 -2009). 

8)  The first one in my department has produced more than 500 undergraduate and postgraduate students with data mining skill sets since 2002.

9) The first one in my department has produced more than 400 undergraduate students with database administrators skill sets since 2007.

10)  The first one in my department collabroated with faculty of education and won 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal in EKSPO PENYELIDIKAN, REKACIPTA & INOVASI UM Award 2006.

11)The first one in my department won gold medail in EKSPO PENYELIDIKAN, REKACIPTA & INOVASI UM Award 2005.

12) The first one in my department collaborated with another department (SE) to produce 2 ISI papers (15 citations now in web of science) in 2010.

13) As a head of department (Information System) from 2005 till 2006, the first one in my department introduce Oracle as a platform to teach undergraduate students through database and database administrator subject till now.

14)  As a deputy dean of development in 2009, the first one in my department helps in planning, implementing the new FSKTM canteen.

15,)  As a deputy dean of development in 2009, the first one in my department helps in running international FSKTM conference able to attract the international academic participants and local academic and industry participant. Moreover, faculty received the income in this international conference.

16) As a quality manager of FSKTM from 2010 till 2011, the first one in my department involved in SIRIM faculty level auditing which includes planing and monitor of SOP of faculty level.
