BIOGRAPHY

Surinderpal Kaur is Professor and Dean at the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, University of Malaya, Malaysia. She attained her PhD from Lancaster University, UK. Her research areas focus on Critical Discourse Studies and Multi-Modality while her research interests revolve around issues of discrimination and prejudice specifically in the domains of migration, Islamophobia,  far-right extremism, terrorism as well as gender and sexuality. She is also active in capacity building initiatives for Punjabi and Sikh youths in Malaysia.
