BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Rajenthyran Ayavoo is a senior lecturer in the Department of Management and Marketing at Universiti Malaya's Faculty of Business and Economics. With an extensive academic and industry background, he is highly regarded for his expertise in business management, particularly in the areas of technology, innovation, sustainability, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.

Dr. Raj holds a Ph.D. in Business Management from Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK, where his research concentrated on Technology Capabilities and Innovation Collaboration. His broad research portfolio spans technology transfer, inter-organizational collaboration, knowledge management, entrepreneurship, green innovation, sustainability, and collaborative R&D across technology and service industries.

As an HRD Corp certified trainer, Dr. Raj has delivered training programs for both private companies and government agencies, including prominent organizations such as Infineon Technologies, Panasonic Malaysia, KWSP (Employees Provident Fund), and Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad. His deep expertise in technology management, innovation strategies, ESG practices, and business financing has positioned him as a trusted advisor for organizations looking to enhance their competitiveness in a rapidly evolving global marketplace.

Dr. Raj’s reputation as an expert has also led to consulting roles with international and national agencies, including the Economic Planning Unit (EPU), Ministry of Economy, Institute for Capital Market Research Malaysia (ICMR), United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). These roles demonstrate his significant influence in shaping policies and strategies that promote sustainable growth and innovation.

With over six years of industry experience working for major Malaysian financial institutions such as Eon Bank, Hong Leong Bank, AmBank, and CIMB Bank, Dr. Raj has a wealth of practical experience in areas like personal financing, SME financing, mortgages, and business loans. This hands-on industry experience complements his academic knowledge, enabling him to effectively bridge theoretical concepts with real-world applications.

As a Doctoral Fellow at the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research (MIoIR), Dr. Raj continues to contribute to leading research in innovation and technology management. His blend of academic rigor, industry experience, and consulting expertise makes him a respected figure in business management, particularly in the areas of sustainability, ESG, and innovation-driven collaboration.
