With over two decades of dedicated service at Universiti Malaya (UM), Rafiza Hashim has built a distinguished career in higher education administration, human resource development, and international collaboration. Currently serving as Director of the Global Mobility Centre (GMC), she leads strategic initiatives that advance UM’s global reputation while ensuring inclusivity and operational excellence.

Her professional expertise spans Human Resources, Academic Administration, Student Affairs, Finance, Asset & Facility Management, and Project Execution, reflecting broad institutional knowledge and versatility. She has successfully spearheaded Program INCLUDE, Malaysia’s first inclusive mobility initiative for OKU students, aligning UM’s mission with national education policy and global best practices.

Rafiza’s leadership is demonstrated through the management of large-scale international events such as UM International Week, International Partners Day, and the International Cultural & Food Festival, which collectively engaged over 10,000 participants and 30 partner universities from 19 countries. Her ability to design, plan, and execute complex projects showcases strong strategic thinking, risk management, and event leadership competencies.

Recognized for her innovation, cross-cultural communication, and stakeholder engagement, she has strengthened UM’s international networks and positioned the university as a hub of academic excellence and diversity. Her meticulous attention to detail, resilience, and collaborative approach ensure that institutional goals are met with efficiency, credibility, and impact.
