BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Nor Amaleena Mazlan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Built Environment, Universiti Malaya. Her areas of expertise include urban economic development, sustainable urban planning and urban resilience. She has led and contributed to research on urban informal economic activities, techno-local economic transformation, public spaces and city prosperity.
Prior to joining academia, Dr. Nor Amaleena worked with URBANICE Malaysia, where she was involved in initiatives supporting the localisation and implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Malaysia. Her professional and research experience spans sustainable urban development, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and policy-oriented projects that promote inclusive, resilient and prosperous communities.
