DR. MUHAMMAD FAISAL BIN KHYASUDEEN

BIOGRAPHY


Dr. Muhammad Faisal bin Khyasudeen has vast experience in the field of ultrafast femtosecond laser spectroscopy, having worked in this area since 2014. He holds a Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and has built up ultrafast transient absorption and multidimensional optical spectroscopy experiment under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Tan Howe Siang in the School of Physical and Mathematical Science (SPMS), NTU. He studied Light Harvesting Complexes (LHC) system using this technique and published 7 articles, mostly in top tier journals. Besides, he has expertise in setting up Ti:Sapphire amplifier and Non-collinear Optical Parametric Amplifier (NOPA) to generate ultrashort laser pulses (pulse duration of < 30 fs). Currently, he is a senior lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, UM, and coordinator of the ultrafast laser in High Impact Research (HIR) building.
