BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Mardiana is a Science Officer at Infra Laboratory, Universiti Malaya since September 2009. She holding a degree in Physic Science (UKM) in 2001, Master of Management (UM) in 2014, and Doctor of Philosophy (USM) in 2022 specializing in solder alloy characterizations and soldering techniques. With extensive experience (>20 years) in microscopy and materials characterization, she has contributed to research and innovations in various field of applications.

Since 2017, Dr. Mardiana has been serving as a Technical Manager and Approved Signatory for MS ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratories (SAMM No. 837). In this role, she is responsible in ensuring laboratory compliance, quality assurance, and accreditation standards of Surface Area  (BET) testing-ASTM D3660-20. Her leadership has played a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of testing and calibration within ISO 17025 frameworks.

Dr. Mardiana is a certified radiation worker at Universiti Malaya, trained in handling and working with radiation-emitting equipment such as Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM), X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) and X-ray Diffraction (XRD). Other than that she also involves in implementing safety protocols in laboratory including radiation, chemical and schedule waste management.
