BIOGRAPHY

TANG Tuck Mun, Lincoln, CL is an academic staff/faculty member at Faculty of Languages and Linguistics (FLL), Universiti Malaya (UM). He is currently pursuing his doctorate at UM under the Study Leave Training Award-IPTA Academic Training Scheme (HLCB-SLAI) jointly awarded by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and UM. He is also a UM Internal Auditor and reports to Quality Management and Enhancement Centre (QMEC), UM. He was the Information and Communications Coordinator, FLL, UM and represented FLL at Corporate Communications Office (CCO), UM.

As an applied linguist, Lincoln has a special interest in English language education, language acquisition and is currently working on crisis translation. He is also keen on exploring issues related to endangered languages and semiotics. He has served as a reviewer for Journal of Modern Languages (JML).

He is a full Member (MCIL) and Chartered Linguist (CL) of Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL). He is also a Founding Member of Chartered College of Teaching (CCT) since its inception in 2017. Furthermore, Lincoln is a Malaysian Association of Problem-Based Learning (MyPBL) certified Problem-Based Learning practitioner and trainer. Not only that, he is also a National Heart Association of Malaysia (NHAM) certified Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor.

Some notable academic and non-academic awards received are Study Leave Training Award-IPTA Academic Training Scheme (Hadiah Latihan Cuti Belajar-Skim Latihan Akademik IPTA), Excellent Service Certificate (SPC), MELTA Excellence in Research Award, MyMaster Funding Programme, National Higher Education Fund Corporation Scholarship, Hadiah Buku Tan Sri Dr Muhammad Rais bin Abdul Karim (Book Prize), Outward Bound Malaysia Roll of Honour, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), and Anugerah Pengakap Raja (King's Scout Award).
