BIOGRAPHY


Dr. Lee Zheng Yang is a registered pharmacist and currently serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Universiti Malaya. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Taylor’s University, where his research focused on drug discovery and the chemical synthesis of bioactive compounds.

Before joining academia, Dr. Lee practiced in the retail pharmacy setting, where he delivered pharmaceutical care and gained first-hand insights into patient behavior, medication compliance, and the commercial dynamics driving pharmaceutical sales. This experience strengthened his ability to bridge the gap between pharmaceutical science and real-world pharmacy practice.

He has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented his work at both local and international conferences. Dr. Lee is committed to advancing research in drug development and chemical synthesis, while also contributing to high-quality pharmacy education and preparing future pharmacists for both clinical and commercial challenges.
