Dr. Muhammad Hadi Bin Mustafa is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying at the Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With a robust academic background, Dr. Hadi earned his Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying from the International Islamic University Malaysia in 2013, followed by a Master’s Degree in Construction Project Management from the University of Manchester, UK, in 2014. He completed his Ph.D. in Built Environment at the International Islamic University Malaysia in 2023.

Dr. Hadi is an enthusiastic researcher in the field of advanced construction technologies. His research interests include Historic Building Information Modelling (HBIM), Building Information Modelling (BIM), Cost Management, and Visualisation in Construction and Architecture, which includes preserving traditional and cultural values in the built environment. His current work emphasizes the integration of modern technological tools like laser scanning and BIM to enhance cost management, visualization, and the preservation of traditional and cultural values within the built environment. His research contributions include multiple published articles focusing on innovative construction management approaches, such as the utilization of 5D BIM for cost management, and the application of BIM in heritage building preservation. Notable publications include studies on green building effectiveness, supply management for industrialised building systems, and the development of BIM-backed decision support systems for heritage structures. He is also enthusiastic about the implementation of disruptive technologies in the built environment, aiming to drive innovation and enhance industry practices.

Dr. Hadi has been actively involved in several national and private research projects, including initiatives on sustainable waste management and also mediation practices in the Malaysian construction industry. He has also contributed significantly to academia through his supervision of postgraduate students and teaching courses related to Information Technology Management for Projects, and various aspects of construction works measurement. In addition to his academic and research roles, Dr. Hadi has developed microcredential courses on BIM for historic buildings and the built environment, further extending his impact in professional and educational spheres. His expertise is further solidified by his work on intellectual property, including the HBIM Framework for Malay Historical Buildings.
