BIOGRAPHY

Dalilah is a qualified accounting professional with a passion towards widening participation in the accounting profession. Having gained professional experience in the accounting industry through the Central Bank of Malaysia and Ernst & Young, Dalilah is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Chartered Accountant (CA) member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) member of CPA Australia. She is also a certified Associate Fellow in Teaching having completed a teaching development course at the University of Glasgow.

Dalilah holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Glasgow (UK), where she was awarded the Adam Smith Business School Prize for Excellence. Drawing from social theory, her PhD thesis examines the professional socialisation practices of prospective accountants in Malaysia. Dalilah also holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE, UK) and a Bachelor of Accounting from UNITEN (Malaysia) where she graduated First Class.

From 2013 to 2023, Dalilah was a member of the teaching faculty at UniKL Business School, where she was also the Head of Section for Accounting in 2023. At UniKL Business School Dalilah mainly taught Financial Accounting and Reporting, and Accounting Theory and Practice. She has also taught postgraduate accounting subjects at INCEIF and served as a teaching assistant at University of Glasgow.
