ASSOCIATE PROF. SR DR. ZURAINI BINTI MD ALI

DR.
Associate Professor Dr. Sr Zuraini Md Ali is an academic and practitioner in the Built Environment, specialising in heritage building conservation and building surveying at the University of Malaya. A pioneer in establishing building surveying programmes at UiTM and UM, she has over three decades of experience in teaching, research, and consultancy, with a strong emphasis on field-based learning. She has contributed to major conservation projects and conservation management plans of heritage buildings in Malaysia, and is an award-winning author, receiving the National Book Award (ABN) and the National Academic Award (AAN). She also serves as an AAN jury member. A registered conservator and active member of professional bodies, her work centres on heritage advocacy, cultural sustainability, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
