Sr Dr Nurshuhada Zainon is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Quantity Surveying at the Faculty of Built Environment, Universiti Malaya. She specialises in digital construction, particularly Building Information Modelling (BIM), data-driven decision-making, sustainable construction, and construction carbon accounting. She obtained her Bachelor of Quantity Surveying from Universiti Malaya, receiving the Anugerah Pelajaran Diraja (2005), followed by an MSc from The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, University College London (2009), and a PhD in Construction IT Management from Universiti Malaya (2013). Before joining academia, she contributed to Malaysia's National e-Tendering Initiative (NeTI) at CIDB E-Construct Sdn. Bhd., inspiring her long-term research in digital construction. Since joining Universiti Malaya in 2013, she has been among the early Malaysian academics advancing BIM through close collaboration with government agencies, professional bodies, and industry. She received the Universiti Malaya Young Excellent Researcher Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) in 2019 and the Universiti Malaya Certificate of Excellent Service in 2015 and 2016. She is a Professional Quantity Surveyor (BQSM), a committee member of the RISM Quantity Surveying Division, Editor-in-Chief of the International Surveying Research Journal (ISrJ), and Section Editor of the Journal of Design and Built Environment (JDBE).
