Dr. Zulhadi Iskandar Radzi (ZI Radzi) is a battery scientist and Senior Lecturer at the UM Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC), Universiti Malaya. He earned his PhD in Energy Conversion & Management from Universiti Malaya in 2024, specializing in manganese based cathode nanomaterials for lithium ion batteries, developed through low carbon footprint methods for fast charging and high power applications. He previously served at the International Battery Center Sdn Bhd (IBC), Malaysia’s first battery energy storage start up established with NanoMalaysia Berhad, where he rose to Chief Operating Officer. With the leadership team, he helped scale laboratory innovations into pilot production, develop pouch cells, and ensure compliance with international safety standards. Dr. Zulhadi holds two patents in advanced battery technologies and has published widely, bridging academia and industry to support Malaysia’s energy transition and global battery competitiveness.
