Professor Dr Zamros Yuzadi Mohd Yusof is a Professor of Dental Public Health at Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya. He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Queen’s University of Belfast (1997), a Master’s degree from University College London (2004), a Diploma in Dental Public Health from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (2004), and a PhD from Universiti Malaya (2013). He has over 20 years of experience in research and teaching, both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Professor Zamros has supervised more than 20 doctorate candidates, 2 clinical doctorate candidates, 10 clinical master’s, 4 master’s by research, and 21 master’s students by coursework. He has published 77 papers in ISI/WoS-indexed journals, 3 book chapters, and has been invited to speak on 15 occasions, holding 17 copyrights. His Scopus H index = 14 (WoS H index = 11). His research interests include the social determinants of oral health inequality, assessing the burden of oral diseases and conditions on individuals and societies, and the development and evaluation of oral health interventions and health policies. His work focuses on determining the effectiveness, equity, and overall impact of these interventions/policies on oral health outcomes at both individual and population levels.
