Professor Dr. Zamri Radzi is the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs at Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. He previously served as Dean of the Dental Faculty and Chairman of the Malaysian Dental Deans' Council. Dr. Radzi holds specialist degrees from Leeds University, the Royal College of Surgeons (England, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Ireland), and a Doctorate from the University of Oxford. A Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, Dr. Zamri Radzi is also Treasurer of the Southeast Asia Association for Dental Education. His research spans both fundamental and applied fields, including biopolymers, automated bone expanders, and self-inflating tissue expanders. He has secured over RM 9 million in research grants and holds six patents, including from the US Patent Office. Dr. Radzi was the first to use the Target 2 ISIS Pulsed Neutron Scattering Station at the STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, studying biopolymer dynamics. He has won over 30 medals, including golds at International Research Expositions in Nuremberg, Geneva, London, and Pittsburgh. In recognition of his achievements, he received the Excellent Scientist Award from Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education.
