Dr. Yeoh Yin Yin is Senior Lecturer in Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, University of Malaya where she teaches philology and linguistics of Chinese. Prior to this, she obtained her Bachelor degree from University of Malaya, Master degree from Peking University, Beijing, China, and her PhD degree from National Taiwan University. Her research interests include Malaysia Chinese Dialects, Language-contact, Sociolinguistics, Language and Culture. Her current research is on Northern Malaysia South-Min Dialects, discussing the variation of the dialect based on the fieldwork outcomes.
