Prof. Ir. Dr. WONG Yew Hoong is a Full Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya, and Head of the Centre of Excellence for Future Sustainable Energy. He is a Professional Engineer (Malaysia), Chartered Engineer (UK), Fellow of IMechE (UK), Fellow of IEM (Malaysia), and Senior Member of IEEE (USA). Specializing in electronic materials for energy applications, he has published over 150 research papers in WoS-indexed journals, several book chapters, and patents. Prof. Wong actively collaborates with local and multi-national industries, securing research and consultancy projects. He serves on editorial boards of indexed journals, evaluates national and international grants, and acts as assessor and examiner for engineering academic programs and theses. A dedicated contributor to professional bodies, he has received numerous accolades, including the Anugerah Tokoh Muda Kejuruteraan Negara 2023 from the Prime Minister of Malaysia, recognizing his excellence in engineering research and national contributions.
