PROF. DR. LAU WEE YEAP

Lau Wee Yeap is Professor at Faculty of Business and Economics, Academic Board Member of AEI, Elected Member of International Statistical Institute, and member of Malaysia-Japan Research Centre. He was MEXT Scholar at University of Osaka, AUA Scholar at UAEU, Visiting Scholar at NUS RMI, Wenzao Ursuline University and recipient of NTL Fellowsship. He also attended Education Program at Bendheim Center for Finance, Princeton University. In addition to Doctoral Student Award at AsianFA/FMA Conference in Taipei (2004), Kuala Lumpur (2005) and Auckland (2006), he received IJBF Best Paper Award (2021, 2022 & 2025), ICMR Best Paper Award (2023), 15th MAPIM-KPT Best Journal Paper Award in Humanities and Soc. Sciences-National Index (2024), National Book Award (2025) from National Development Foundation, MFAIC CMR Best Paper Award (2025) and UM-UCSI Matching Grant Award (2026). He has authored books for Palgrave Macmillan, World Scientific, Routledge, Springer Nature, Malaysian Insurance Institute, and edited two books for University Press, in addition to 94 WoS-indexed articles.
