PROF. DR. LAU WEE YEAP

CPA Program
Lau Wee Yeap is Professor at the Faculty of Business and Economics and academic board member of Asia-Europe Institute. He was MEXT Scholar at University of Osaka, AUA Scholar at UAEU, Visiting Scholar at NUS RMI, Wenzao Ursuline University and Visiting Scholar under NTL Fellowship. He also attended Education Program at the Bendheim Center for Finance, Princeton University. In addition to Doctoral Student Award at AsianFA/FMA Conference in Taipei (2004), Kuala Lumpur (2005) and Auckland (2006), he received IJBF Best Paper Award at 23rd, 24th and 27th MFAIC, Best Paper Award from ICMR (2023), 15th MAPIM-KPT Best Journal Paper Award in Humanities and Social Sciences-National Index (2024), National Book Award (2025) from National Development Foundation, MFAIC CMR Best Paper Award (2025) and UM-UCSI Matching Grant Award (2026). He has authored books for Palgrave Macmillan, World Scientific, Routledge, Springer Nature, Malaysian Insurance Institute and edited books for University Press, in addition to 94 articles indexed in WoS.
