Dr Wan Nurazreena Wan Hassan is an Associate Professor and Consultant Orthodontist at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya, whose research spans digital dentistry, outcomes science and psychometrics focused on Orthodontic-related quality of life. She serves as Deputy Dean (Postgraduate) and previously as Deputy Dean (Undergraduate) and Head of Department, leading curriculum design and learner outcomes. Clinically, she integrates UK training in Cardiff with a mini-preceptorship in Korea and a mini-residency in Japan to manage complex orthodontic cases, including cleft and craniofacial care and obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), translating best practices into Malaysian settings. Nationally, she sits on the Dental Specialist Evaluation Committee of the Malaysian Dental Council and contributes to evidence-based care, including the Ministry of Health Clinical Practice Guidelines on Managing OSA and other guidelines in orthodontics. Internationally, she examines (MOrth Part II and MFDS) for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and of Glasgow. Her academic influence includes an H-index of 11 (Web of Science) and 320 citations. She has supervised 23 postgraduates and 15 undergraduate elective projects, leads grants, and publishes on patient-centred outcomes, digital workflows and dental education.
