Rosmawani Che Hashim is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya (UM), with expertise in commercial law, banking law, and Islamic banking and finance law. Her academic and research interests span the intersection of law, business, finance, and social wellbeing, with particular emphasis on the application of legal frameworks to contemporary commercial and societal challenges. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Shariah Law (Hons) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), obtained in 1992 and 1993, respectively. She subsequently obtained a Master’s degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, in 1995, and a PhD in Islamic Banking and Finance Law from the International Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF), IIUM. She began her academic career as a lecturer at Universiti Utara Malaysia in 1995 before joining Universiti Malaya in 2005. At the Faculty of Business and Economics, she teaches Commercial Law and Legal Aspects of Banking Law and has extensive experience in teaching, academic administration, research, and postgraduate supervision. Her scholarly work has been published in academic journals, books, and international conference proceedings. Beyond academia, she has contributed to consultancy and collaborative projects involving organisations such as the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), the Asian Institute of Finance (AIF),
